After working in design for over a decade, Laura opened her studio in 2017. In that time she has completed
projects ranging from a new hacienda in the hills above Montecito, to the interior design of an apartment in
New York, the interior design of a lakeside home in Idaho, to a complete renovation of a modern home
overlooking the Central Coast of California, and the renovation of an oceanside condominium in Montecito.
The design styles ranged from a sympathetic interpretation of classical Andalusian-based Santa Barbara style
to a coastal modern home designed to showcase an extensive art collection. Throughout all the projects, the
common element was a sense of timeless style that will endure and stand the test of time.
In each project, the client’s lifestyle, program, and aspirations are the drivers for the design. Each
project is unique, beginning with the client’s lifestyle, program, and aspirations, before turning to
address the context, site, materials, and sense of place.
